Help. Verizon turned off Wireless Sync. Lost Contacts

Hello VZW Community.  

 

Is anyone else like me, who did not know that Verizon would turn off Wireless Sync?

 

I have now lost my entire Contact List.

 

No one whom I have spoken with in Verizon Technical

has a clue as to what to do or where Wireless Sync custormers data was stored.

 

Supposedly Verizon licensed Wireless Sync from Nokia.  I called

Nokia in Finland, and they said they knew nothing about the discontinuance.

Nokia also said that the Wireless Sync data did not reside on Nokia servers.

 

So I am looking to see on which servers my Contact Information resides.  

 

Verizon has

not been helpful with information about people such as myself.

 

I'm sure there are

hundreds, perhaps thousands of us who have lost valuable information due to this

discontinuance.

 

Anybody in the same boat and might know what can be done?  Regards Andrew

Hey Andrew....

 

 A couple months ago, all of my verizon contacts disappeared from my phone.... waited a couple weeks and came back and then all my non verizon contacts disappeared and I would slowly readd them and then one day I noticed that they were all back.  During the issue I went to the Verizon store twice and called the Backup assistant helpline and no one had any idea what had happened or why.

 

If you have Backup Asst, all your contacts are still listed online, so you could go through and just readd the reallly important ones.  But in my experience, eventually, they all come back.  It's just a really crappy unpredictable waiting game.

 

 

I know this isn't terribly helpful.. but maybe it's hopeful?   Sincerely, Amber
