should be able to check it's EXIF data. All digital photos the devices put a small amount of data onto it. It tracks the name, file size, what type of lens etc. There's a lot of tools out there that you can use to find the date. You should also be able to open it in the gallery and check it's detail.
open the pic, in the upper right or left corner 3 dots or bars, tap & select info.
