Do you have to have your phone nearby to use your jetpack?
No.
Our jetpack is a great tool to use for data. I do not have one, but it is a great way to stay connected. With regard to your question you are able to use the device in other areas of your home. You do not have to be close to the device, but not too far where it will lose connection. I hope this helps.
