I have a dilemma! I've been a loyal Verizon customer for 15 years. The Cantenna home internet is the best solution for me and works well. However, I can't join the unlimited plan because Verizon decided Cantenna can't be unlimited. This means every teenager with Facebook (including my daughter)and their constant feed of photos eats my data plan, and we can't really watch NetFlix because it eats the data plan. So half of each month creates huge friction in my house - and I already pay for a 60 GB plan for $275 per month.
Also, when the data plan runs out, the safety mode cuts everything off so hard I can't even log into My Verizon to add more, or disable the safety mode. Now I have to drive somewhere with a hotspot.
I really want Verizon to be the best, and to continue to be a happy customer (but have been paying >$500/month because of the dataplan).
Not having streaming on home internet is not acceptable in 2018 - according to almost anyone!
Safety mode virtual shut down is not acceptable and borders on unsafe. My smart home, lights when I come home, doorbell etc. all need internet, so cutting that off is just not ok!
In my view the Verizon network is strong enough - this is just a marketing decision to extract more money - this is beyond reasonable, it is aggravating and alienating. I want to be a great, loyal customer - please listen and make a conscientious decision about Cantenna!
If everyone who feels this way speaks up, it will be positive for everyone in the community. Thank you!
