Coverage fading?

I live in 95554 and Verizon's coverage map shows total coverage. BUT, I have only had one or two bars at the most for years. I could text but not use the phone call function because the calls dropped always. There was on 8x8 foot area out in my drive way where I could stand on one foot and bow to the north to talk on the phone. So I bought a WeBoost two years ago. That helped a great deal. I would get at least two maybe three bars and could even take a phone call inside my house.

Well over the past 6 months my coverage has come to a screeching halt. I have stopped and started the iPhone5s, removed the sim card and all the suggestions given by your self-help guide.

I cannot even get a reliable text out on a regular basis. Sometimes the stop/start lets me get a text out. But the conversation can only lasts about two or three messages before I have to stop/start it again.

I am beyond frustrated at this point.

Verizon cell service is certainly not worth the $82/month I pay. I don't have a contract any longer and am considering looking a US Cellular. My friend gets good service at my house and she has US Cellular.

DEBLAK13, it's important you have the most reliable coverage. I'm troubled to learn about the issues you're experiencing at your location. There are no reported issues for that area. When did start happening? Do you know any other Verizon customers experiencing this issue?

Anyone that uses Verizon at my home cannot use Voice or text messages either.

I found it interesting that you stated there's no other connection issues in my area.

I talked with 3 other customers that are my neighbors. They state that they have done extensive trouble shooting and hours of time trying to get to the bottom of this problem.

The contract with Verizon and myself states that you will deliver cell service to me and I will pay you for it..

Verizon is no longer fulfilling their end of the contract.

I don't know what Verizon has done to the delivery system as of the last 6 months or so. It needs fixing.

Hello Tracy,

I also live in 95554. I have complained to Verizon myself within the last month. In fact I spent hours on the phone. It seems that Verizon wants to blame our phones for the change. We tried several reboots on multiple phones in our home. Nothing changed. We used to get a few bars at home and now we have “no service”. This was not alleviated by the help from VZW customer service. We have three phones. Two on our account and one through a work Verizon account. We have had several visitors with Verizon coverage who have all been unable to connect to the Verizon network.

We are only able to call or text using imessage and WiFi calling.

I am strongly disappointed in Verizon. To say there are no reported complaints is Inaccurate at best. When I made my complaint, I did so after another resident in our area had made several complaints as well. I was also told nobody else had complained.

This is is a major problem. We all work in emergency services and this issue is affecting our ability to receive pertinent and life saving information. We pay over $300 a month for our service and we are not receiving service for the amount of time that we are Home. fix it or lose our $4000 a year.

We are long time Verizon users and have retained the services due to reputed great services. While visiting our daughter who lives in the 95554 area code we have seen a definite reduction in cell coverage in the area. What used to be somewhat good coverage in a small footprint area of her residence has now been depleted to either no area or don’t move. Very frustrating when expecting calls whether they are business or personal. Surely better services can be provided for the large number of emergency on call personnel that live in the area.

I live on the other side of the hill from DEBLAK13 and I called in last month when we had 2 snow falls in a row which isn't normal for us I would completely lose service and I work from home and my husband is in emergency services. I was also told by Verizon I was the only one to call in which may be true because it was only us that was out. After that service steadily came back but now we are down to 2 bars 4g lte when we have had around 4 bars before. I was also told we are roaming here which we have never been told that before so my guess is Verizon turned our service coverage for our hill down this year.

Interesting how I started this thread and Verizon is only contacting Marie.What you don't know about our dependence on good coverage from Verizon is that it carries our "I AM RESPONDING" messages to us. This gives us vital communication as to the type of call and who else on the department is also responding.We are on the local fire department and it is vital to get our text pages for emergency calls. We do have radios,too. Our cell phones give us GPS locations and technical details not available over the airwaves.It is too bad all your customers don't rate the same response from Verizon.Debra Lake, Fruitland Ridge Volunteer Fire District Medical Responder and Board Member

I certainly understand the need to have good coverage especially when you use your phones while working with your local first response team. I would be very sad to see you leave for another carrier. Dear Verizon,

My coverage has not improved. Your customer service overall is spotty like your cell service. I have asked for help because my coverage is continuing to fade and get worse. I am being ignored.

I have reset my network. I have tried all your tricks. Yet nothing works. I cannot get text messages out. Our coverage was marginal.

I have a WeBoost and it helped for awhile. I am back to poor coverage to none at all.

Please review this thread. It is now 3 months later. Nothing has improved.

I pay my bill. You have a contract with me to provide cell service. I am doing my part. Verizon is not holding up their end of that contract.

I am a medical first responder. I depend on my cell phone for dispatch and communication to emergencies.

I need some help. Please.

Your customer agreement with Verizon states the following-

****”Where and how does Verizon wireless Service work?

Wireless devices use radio transmissions, so unfortunately you can't get Service if your device isn't in range of a transmission signal. And please be aware that even within your Coverage Area, many things can affect the availability and quality of your Service, including network capacity, your device, terrain, buildings, foliage and weather.”****

It’s a good idea to use the provider that works best where you need it as there is no wireless carrier that contractually guarantees coverage at any location, all have places with strong, marginal and no service.

I have had coverage that was marginal for years and years. I bought a WeBoost several years ago and it made my phone have 3 bars of coverage. I could actually call or take a call in my house. Instead of out on the sidewalk, standing on my left foot, leaning to the West. This lack of service is a new thing. Well, now it is getting old, really old.

If there is a tower issue, an automated sounding I'm sorry response isn't going to cut it if no one is actively sending a tech out to the physical tower.

You've done basic troubleshooting already, I'm surprised no one mentioned tier 2 tech already. Judging by the other comments, this isn't an isolated incident either.

Guys, these people don't need a we want you to have the very best coverage response or PMs, they need something actually done. Their issue requires a ticket to inspect service in that area.
