what is the uBee device on my wireless network infrastructure----what is its function? is it a signal booster?
What internet network service do you have? It sounds like you're referring to a Wireless Cable Modem which terminates your cable internet service and provides wireless local access. Is this the related to what you're referring to?
I have a wireless network with a jetpack (hotspot) from Verizon. The network consists of a laptop, cellphone, and a uBeeAP(structural element). What is the uBee,s function? Is it some kind of signal booster? Please advise.
Verizon doesn't sell anything called a "UBee", at least not through wireless. You're on the wrong forum for that.
You must have some router embedded with the uBeeAP software (Access Point). Internet searches show this to be related to Time Warner routers. Do you have one?
ALOCTAVIAN, I'll be happy to help clear up the details in any way possible. I can see how this might be concerning to come across. A UbeeAP is generally some type of modem with an antenna. We do not currently sell or support such devices as this. If you're concerned about this unit connecting to your Jetpack, I would recommend removing it from your connections. To be of more help, what is the make and model of the Jetpack you have? Are you currently using a Wireless Router or signal booster at your residence?
