After debating whether or not to start service with Verizon, we decided to give it a shot. Boy what a mess it has been. Since February I've had issues every month with my bill and contacted support/went to a Verizon store 10+ times.
It began with my phone number not matching the one on record they supposedly assigned my phone. It turned out to be a number from another town. Then my account said I ordered a plan that doesn't even exist with Verizon anymore. I was billed for this plan along with my actual plan order. Two bills. As a result of customer service not eliminating that bogus plan, our phones were shut off for non payment. I called again...and again. Each month we get closer to a resolution, but have to go thru the process of our phones being disconnected in order for them to attempt fixing it. They were supposed to waive the reconnect fees after the first shut off, since they would've never shut off if the bogus plan was never there. They didn't waive them. So they were shut off again, because I didn't pay a small portion of the bill that I thought was just showing up incorrectly (the reconnect fees that should've been waived). I called, and they waived them and turned the phones on. But now we have another set of reconnect fees AGAIN, for reconnecting our phones over the same issue. Do we matter? Your company caused these issues and because someone didn't do their job correctly, I have to have my service interrupted, and pay more fees!? I was told they won't waive the new set of fees too! How unfair when your the reason my phone's werw disconnected. Only three months of service as a new customer...and we're already wanted to turn in our phones and be done with Verizon for not fixing their mess they caused on our account. This has been a nightmare, and I would happily keep my service and pay my bill, if Verizon would fix the mistakes and bogus charges on my account that they've accrued. And fix them all! If it's not, I refuse to pay for their errors and will walk away. So disappointing, and what a nightmare for a first time customer with a big phone corporation. Maybe I should've stayed with the prepaid company I had.
