My iPhone 6s has suddenly very noticeably diminished battery life.
I am not sure if it makes sense for me to replace the battery or upgrade to the iPhone 8.
Would appreciate comment/advice re each of those alternatives.

Apple is currently offering a $29 battery replacement on older devices in response to the power management feature included in iOS 11 that customers found out about that Apple didn't disclose.
It is worth looking into.
