Which phone model do you have?
One way would be to load the pictures to a Cloud account and then download them to the computer. The possibility of a direct connection method may exist, thus Ann's reply. ☺
connect usb cable, open phone folder, open dcim folder....drag/drop where you want 'em on pc!!
bearone21's response is the easiest method but my no means the only method. dexman's method of sending files to the cloud would also work.
Additional methods include:
1). OTG stick
2). SD Card and USB Reader
3). Bluetooth
4). FTP over WiFi
