repeating text messages

I've just starting having issues where I send my daughter a text message, and she will get it multiple times. I restarted my phone (a Google Pixel) which seems to solve the problem until I send another message. Then the cycle starts again. She gets multiple texts messages coming in multiple times until I restart my phone. Any clue what is going on?

kssams1, we want to make sure that your daughter's device receives these text messages how it is supposed to receive them. Do you recall making any changes to your device when this issue initially began?
