Signal Strength has diminished over last year...

Hi,

I am a Verizon employee, We have had VZ service since 2010 when the 3g and 4g signal was good, generally at least 3 bars. But over the last year, our signal strength has diminished to 1 or even a 1/2 bar. This really hit me today as I was activating my iPhone X I just bought and I could not complete the activation at home I had to drive about 1 mile from my house to get a sufficient signal. I know of no construction near us and nothing in the house has changed, the signal is also about the same when you step out of the house. Our zip code is 19365, is there anything that can be done to bring a test VZ vehicle to our area to analyze why the signal degraded so badly? In all seriousness, I may need to switch to T-Mobile if the signal cannot be corrected and I REALLY do not want to do that.

Yes, Technical support can submit a trouble ticket to the network department to check out your area if you call them

I have had the same problem. I live a few miles outside of the city. Verizon has been advertising that their signal is optimized for the city and I feel that this optimization has cost signal strength to those who are outside the city limits.

Over the last year I have gone from having reliable cell phone service at my home to rarely being able to make a call without it dropping. I have called Verizon multiple times. At first they said they would provide a signal booster but when that did not happen and I called back, nobody seemed to know anything about it.

The rumor in my community is that Verizon reduced the signal strength in our area to force a land owner to allow them to build a tower on his land. I don't know if this is true but I do know my signal is terrible now and a year or so ago it was fine.
