My wife’s phone seems to have two lines

When I text my wife it goes to two differbt contact names but it’s the same number. When she calls or texts back it’s via one of the two contacts. one  is blue lime iPhone and the other is green? Is she sneaking behind my back somehow? What am I missing?

sounds like she has verizon message plus and either her  phones  regular messages still retrieving messages or an app like messenger from facebook. so she has sms on in one of the apps.
