I cannot leave voicemail to my husbands phone that is like mine and no message can be left to mine. Voicemail totally not working. Help, about to go on vacation and we need to contact each other and it is also my husbands phone for business.
@JHurst, I understand the importance of having reliable service. Let's make sure that we get this working before you go on vacation. What is the make/model of the phone? When did you notice this issue? Also, are you able to access your voicemail?

I have a Moto G4. I can listen to my voice mail when a message is left for me but I am unable to send one. I just noticed it a few days ago. When I try to send a voice mail to my husbands moto g4, it dials his number & says to please enter my mailbox number. His moto g4 is still able to send voice mail. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I know that it's vital to be able to leave your husband a voicemail. I'd like to just take a step back. Are you only having this trouble with your husband? Are you able to leave voicemails for other numbers? If so, this is likely related to your husbands device, rather than your phone. Is he able to receive voicemails from other callers?

I can leave voice mail for home phone answering machines. He can send and receive any voicemails with his phone. He can also send me one and I can retrieve it, I just cannot send him one.

Did you call in to customer service to make sure that you have voicemail service on the line? How about dialing *86 and setting up the voicemail? Also, how about setting up the Basic Visual Voicemail by opening the Voicemail app on the phone?
Yes, I have voice mail. Star 86 has 4 different options after I press 4 to change personal options. Which one do I pick? My voicemail always worked perfect before. I have called the customer service no. several times and can only get messages. Have tried all and no operator answers. Is there a different number besides the one listed everywhere?
Wait...now I am confused. Why are you selecting 4? That will allow to change some admin options, your greeting, password and language. If you are trying to listen to messages you call *86 and enter the password and press 1 to listen to messages. If you have too many in the inbox or saved, nobody will be able to leave messages. It sounds like you need to clear out some old messages.
Sorry, there is nothing in my inbox. I only get a message about once every 2 weeks and always delete it. When my husband calls, he can leave me a message and I can check it just fine. One other also left me a message and I checked it just fine. I just cannot leave a message on his phone. It says , please enter mailbox no.? Used not to do this. I was just looking at the options. I have not changed anything.
