Device turns on briefly then goes immediately to Goodbye screen.
Sounds like your battery is bad or is not making full contact to the Jetpack.
If you have warranty then call this one into VZW and have them send you a replacement battery or Jetpack.
If not you should be able to purchase a replacement battery online and see if that resolves the problem. If not then upgrade to the next model.
