- Includes messages from apps, etc.
- Has been going on for years (multiple phones iphone 5s, 6, etc.)
- I've checked that SMS is enabled
- I've restarted the phone (many times)
- I've reset network settings
It’s sounds like there might be a messaging block active for your line in your MyVerizon account

I've looked on the page where it lists blocks, and there is not a messaging block that I can see there.
Actually, there was a block! It's fixed now. Thanks.
