I had a terrible in-store pick-up experience at the Verizon located at Lassiter Mill in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is part of the North Hills shopping center. The woman had a bad attitude when I walked in the door, she acted like I was bothering her. She asked me what I needed, then asked for my ID and card with which payment was made for the phone I was picking up. I had both, the representative over the phone told me that's all I would need to pick-up this phone. She then proceeded to tell me that I was unable to pick-up the phone, after driving 30 minutes to this store, because my name wasn't on the account. This is the opposite of what the representative over the phone said. So, I then asked if I could call my dad, and he could give me all the information needed over the phone, and/or login from home. She scoffed and rolled her eyes at me, and told me no. I asked to speak to her supervisor. This "manager" looked to be in high school, and younger than his employee. He was just as rude if not more rude than her. I arrived with my dad about an hour later, only to speak with another employee, who told us that yes, I could've called in and he could've authorized me online. I did not have a phone, hence why I was picking up a new one. She wouldn't even let use a phone to call him to meet me at the store to save me a trip. Really the worse customer service reps with whom I've ever had the displeasure of dealing. They did not want to help, they were just mad because it wasn't an in-store sale, so they don't get commission. I don't do this lightly, but I would highly recommend Verizon look into some new management at this store. Truly appalling. There are many other reviews on yelp and google sharing similar negative experiences for this particular store.
