Change APN settings

Hi, I'm travelling abroad and will be using a local prepaid SIM card. The instructions from the SIM card ask me to change APN settings on my iPhone (iOS 11.4.1) and I don't see the setting on the phone. I assume it's disabled by the carrier? How do I go about enabling it? Thanks.

What model iPhone are you using? Have you attempted to reach out to Apple for assistance with this?
