Beginning I think on July 22, 2018 data started moving at a crawl. Using speed test download speeds ranging from .22 to 1.3 mbps. Did not have any numbers before then as there were no service issues. The tower is 1.2 miles from my house. After hearing all the dribble from Verizon about phone settings, usage in area going up as possible causes I am no where.
Talked to technicians twice. Did trouble ticket and had technicians look at possible tower problems. At the end of the day either Verizon cut signal strength for some unknown reason or they just turned the antenna on the tower away from me. Maybe another reason I do not know about.
Been with Verizon for 23 plus years, same house 25 years, all 4 phones same problem. This is only time I have had signal problems.
Hoping to get a legitimate answer from Verizon on what really happened. Is this change going to be permanent. Verizon has the only tower within 5 miles so I am in a tight spot.
