Hello all,
Paint me impatient, but when I ordered my phone yesterday morning, I choose the in-store pick up option because the website stated the phone was available at my selected store, and the option was advertised as a fast and convenient was to get the phone. There are even parts of the sales website that advertise the In-store pick up option for those who do not want to wait for at home delivery. After today, I will be busy for the rest of the week, and had I known that the advertisements were intentionally misleading, I wouldn't have selected in-store pick-up. I would have either gone straight to the store and purchased a plan there or I would have had it mailed to me so that it would be waiting for me at home when I got back from work. People have busy lives, and this is mildly irritating because you haven't saved me any time, this has not been convenient, and it certainly is not fast. I'm failing to understand why this is taking so long considering that the phone was listed as available at the store. What's worse is that I didn't realize that I had selected a phone in the color that I had and now I'm worried that once I actually look at the phone, if I decide the color is too vibrant for me, am I going to have to wait forever and a day to get it exchanged? Well when I looked at the FAQ for in-store pick-up, it discusses that an order can be modified in the store, so I'm assuming that includes things like changing the color model. If that's the case, then why is this taking so long if the store can exchange phones to meet the needs for online orders?
Anyways, I'm not presuming that this is a reflection of service to come in the future, but come on guys. Please clarify the In-store pick-up option so that people can make the proper decisions, instead of expecting one type of service and receiving something completely different. Is there anyone I can speak to about the status of this order and potentially changing it so that it can be expedited to whatever color they might actually have in store (I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that the color I ordered wasn't actually in stock and the website wasn't updated, and now they are waiting to have it shipped, but instead of just being honest with me, I'm led to assume this is faster and more convenient).
