Ex thinks he can take off with $1, 000 phone so I need to get it locked so he can't use it
Report it stolen to Verizon Wireless so they can blacklist it and prevent it from being activated on another account or carrier.

Ann154, also provides a good solution to this problem. If we suspend the phone for lost/stolen it will be added to our negative list and will not allow anyone to activate the phone.
