call forwarding issues

I have set up call forwarding from my cell to a land line and there are times that the caller who is calling me gets no connection to the forward number (land line) and I don't hear anything on my side of the call. I can't receive another call (land line) until the original call disconnects. At least once a week I will have to go back and reset up the call forwarding because more and more of the calls are being dropped like this.

Making sure every one of your phone calls comes through successfully is always important, Chris. I apologize that you have been running into weekly difficulties with your calls and the audio that comes through but you've come to the right place for help. Can you tell me the steps you take to set up your call forwarding? Do you have it set to ring on your cell phone first and then forward to your home number? Do callers ever call straight to your home phone and experience similar issues? Do you have the same audio issue on any calls that come to your phone first?

Follow the basic instructions for the setup:

*72 enter the phone number (looking for the immediately call to the land line)

The cell phone ringer is on but it doesn't ring because the call is forward to the land line. Call direct to the land line don't run into the same issue. And no issues with audio. Once this problem starts with several people calling I then go and do the *73 to turn off call forwarding and then reset it back up once again.

Thank you so much for confirming. That's not at all the experience we want you to have with call forwarding. This needs to work consistently. After resetting things in this do calls come through normally again? Does the issue seem to happen when specific numbers call or does it seem more random?

After I turn it off and turn it back on, I don't have the issue with the calls for a day or two. Then it starts back up once again. The calls coming in are from the local area (mind you that some of them since I'm in DE are from the other local states PA, NJ, and MD) and it is not from one given area code or phone number when this starts up again. It is more random and as I said, all the calls go through for a day or two before it starts acting up where someone is calling the cell number and they are not connected and I can't disconnect the call until they hang up on their end.

Thank you for this information, ssj_Kakarot. If you set up Call Forwarding from your computer, instead of using the regular dialing patterns, do you notice the same issues with dropped calls? It doesn't matter if it's from the phone or computer (yes I've tried that also) it is still the same issue?
