Two phone on same account, received call on both phones

We have two phones on the same account.  While we were on the phone talking to each other, a call that was coming into one line, also came in to the other line (the person called one number, but both phones were ringing).  How did this happen and should we be concerned?

That can be very alarming to receive a call from the same number on two separate phones, CHOCOL8PEACH. I am happy to assist. Did you or the other user answer the call? Also, what type of devices were you using when the call came through as some devices have a feature that allows you to receive calls on multiple devices?
