Hello,
My original S8 phone was damaged and I ordered a replacement from Asurion for about $200. When I got the replacement phone, I inserted the SIM Card they provided and it got stuck. I brought it to two different Verizon's stores and they tried to take it out using a small pin tool with no success. After I got home, I took out the SIM Card from my original phone and I noticed the SIM Card was much smaller than the one I received from Asurion. I called Asurion's customer service and explained. They told me since I inserted the SIM Card myself, I would have to file another claim and pay an additional $200. I trusted that Asurion would send me the correct SIM Card.
I went to a cell phone repair place and they said that the motherboard is damaged and I will have to get a new motherboard which cost $250. This damage was from the tool Verizon's associate used to try to get it out the SIM Card out. I know Verizon customer service was trying to help, so I can't blame them for trying and I appreciate their efforts.
Now I have a phone that doesn't take phone calls. Is there anything I can do without any additional cost?
