Why am I getting calls from my home phone when I am sitting the livingroom?
The number might be being spoofed.
RAYM3,
I can definitely understand the concern with getting a call from your home phone when you have not dialed. I'd like to collect more information about this.
Can you elaborate as to specifically what is happening? Are you getting calls to your cell phone from your home phone, or is your home phone ringing instead of your cell phone? Have you used call forwarding in the past?

My cell phone is ringing saying it is my home calling. Once I answered it and there was a computer voice that just said goodbye. Another time it was a person saying it was Microsoft and that there was a problem with my computer. This was happening 5 – 8 times a day until I blocked my own number.

We want to make sure you remain safe. It seems you have become a victim of Caller ID spoofing. This happens when a caller knowingly falsifies the information transmitted to disguise the number they are calling from. In situations like this, you can change your number to avoid any continuous calls. You can also set up a formal complaint about the calls made by heading to this link, https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us.
