Want 2 switch to ATT. can we take our own phones?

Has anyone switched? How difficult is this going to be? I have the samsung s7 but my husband has the kiocyra (sp) flip phone. Can we take our own phones or will we have to get new ones? I'll be stopping in the ATT store to get all this done but trying to do a little research online 1st. Thanks!

flip phone probably not. The smartphone should work( maybe not ideally ) as long as they do not have device payments
