Upgraded Ellipsis to iPad, can't activate iPad on network

iPad gives message of invalid SIM, website says I have to activate Ellipsis before I can complete upgrade. Can't call customer service right now as I have laryngitis, and it's driving me crazy not being able to get on the network. Any ideas, hints, or suggestions until I get my voice back and can call in? Thanks!
