Echo when initiating local call to landline user

I am using an IPhone 6x and am experiencing an echo of my voice when initiating calls to local landline users. This occurs when calling from my home. My wife has an iPhone 6 and does not have the same problem.

The problem started two weeks ago and I have had the phone and Verizon service for more than two years. Verizon says the issue is not caused by them. Any ideas please?

I want you to start by restarting your device. If you have already tried that I want you to temporarily disable HD Voice. I have included a link on how.
