poor apple service

Recently my Iphone 8 has died, software issue. However the phone is less than a year old (new). Verizon will replace the phone with a refurbished one from the manufacturer...The manufacturer will not replace a new phone with another new phone...Theyll take your money for it though....Crazy disgusting....Think Im done with the iphone after this....

Your phone isn’t new anymore.

Seriously, with proof of purchase go direct to Apple, they are far more likely to give you a new phone. As long as your phone has no physical damage that is. One ding and no one will touch it.
