I recently moved to a rural community for a new job. As a whole broadband coverage is limited and the only options for connectivity is satellite, or use your cellphone as a hot spot. Satellite internet providers prices are outrageous for slow speeds, and unstable connectivity. If the wind blows too hard my mbps drops. The citizens of the county have screamed for years that we need broadband connectivity.
Why doesn’t Verizon provide 5G to underserved areas first? Especially in rural affluent vacation/weekend Home Counties. People would pay for the service as they would be the only stable game in town.
