5G Sim Switch - Prepaid (iPhone 12)

I have a prepaid account. The other day I picked up my iPhone 12 Pro from the Apple store, and activated it by switching to my old phone's (4G) sim card. I would like to switch this with the 5G sim card that came with the phone. How can I activate/switch to the 5G sim?
