External Antenna

I own the Verizon Lte home router model ASK-RTL108. I live in the middle of nowhere, and don’t get strong cell service. I see the external antenna port, but I am not sure what type of external antenna I can use to get stronger cell service. I haven't found anything on Verizon’s website. I have found some online, but I don’t know which are compatible.

I just bought a microcell unit to boost my cellular service at home but have not installed it. It is supposed to take my 2 bar signal and give me 4 bars at home. Don't think this unit is supposed to be connected directly to the router though.

Were you able to get this figured out? I called into Verizon support, the gentleman told me he couldn't help me over the phone and I had to visit a store for support with this device.

I am getting 1, maybe 2, bars and would like to boost this signal without spending and arm and a leg by attaching an external antenna.

It looks like a C9 port, but I am not positive.
