What is the best way to block phone usage during school times besides taking the phone away everyday?

I would like to enable the following weekday/school phone schedule for my preteen:

-7-8am every weekday = Access

-8-3pm every weekday (ie. school time) = No Access

-3pm-8pm every weekday = Access

-8pm-7am every weekday = No Access

Does Verizon Smart Family have the capability? If not, what other options or best practices are available?
