recover photos

Hi All,

My husband needed an update to his phone, but he didn't have enough storage, so we started deleting photos. First we made sure they were in google photos and they were, so we started deleting, but that still wasn't enough. So on the update screen there was an option to delete deleted photos, so we did that. And now those photos are not in Google photos! What happened and can we get them back?

Sorry to hear about the concern over those deleted photos which were backed up to Google Photos, jgranum85. I know this situation is confusing and I'm happy to shed some light so you can figure out the best path forward. Also, I'm sorry to hear that those photos are currently missing. Did you back up those photos to any other source such as a computer, Verizon Cloud or any other could service besides Google Photos?
