I've had the following network extender for a few years, and it worked well with my old Galaxy S7:
- From Verizon's site - my devices:
- Router type = 3G LTE Network Extender
- Broadcast name = Verizon-366A
- On the bottom of the network extender:
But my S7 died, and I replaced it with an unlocked Samsung A51:
- From Verizon's site - my devices:
- Device model = SAM A51 SM-A515U1 UNL
- From the box the phone came in:
- Model = SM-A515UZKNXAA
- Description = SAMSUNG A51 - UNLOCKED
I will try the steps dazzzmien detailed on 02-10-2021 03:59 PM in "Phones not under network extender coverage", but does anyone know if anything else needs to be done for an A51?
In addition, I cannot find these documented ways to turn off (or even check) Advanced Calling on my A51, if this is even a factor:
Turn off Advanced Calling
Disable Advanced Calling whenever your Verizon Wireless phone shows 4G LTE coverage to ensure it will properly connect to
the Network Extender. To do this, follow the steps below for your device’s operating system:
•Android™: Go to Settings > Advanced Calling and turn off service*
* In some devices it may be found under Wireless Calling, HD Voice or VoLTE call.
Thanks.
