Purchased new phone but can't get SIM card

I wanted a second phone so I purchased one, it needs a SIM but Verizon will not send one since the phone is not registered on Verizon... I thought I was speaking to someone on drugs because they didn't understand I can't register the phone without a SIM card!

Two customer service personal, the first one insisted I didn't need a SIM card, to just use the one out of the existing phone, I could not get her to understand the concept of a 'SECOND' phone. I pay Verizon $$ every month for this?

60 mile drive to the nearest Verizon franchise where the employees are trained to use Jedi mind control, you pay $30 for a SIM and don't mind it until the next day...

I surfed around trying to find a SIM: Nano/4FF NFC (Android) SIM and all I could find had 12~14 day delivery starting at $4.95 to $20 for a $0.50 piece of plastic that only works with Verizon and requires an active phone plan with Verizon. Why am I fighting with Customer Support at Verizon to get one?

Update: I found a SIM: T-Mobile two day shipping, $15 unlimited Talk/Text and 5G support!

Wow never had to pay for a sim from a verizon corporate store, weird. Couldn't pay me to try t-mobile again, worst experience ever in my area.

K2AAE I'm sorry you are having a problem with the new line. We have two options, you can go to any Verizon Corporate Store to get aa SIM card. The other option is to add the line and order you a SIM card.

I talked two customer support personal, the first one insisted that I drive for three hours to a Verizon Store and would not deal with the fact of my lost productivity (I'm not paid to drive around during working hours) or fuel cost. In frustration she told me she was not a 'prepaid' customer support personal and someone else will have to deal with me. The second Customer support regurgitated the same 'Visit a Store' line.

In my frustration I purchased SIM from T-Mobile along with their $15 month unlimited plan, after getting hung up in shipping by UPS it arrived, I inserted the SIM into phone and the Samsung Galaxy Note phone became a T-Mobile working phone with coverage in the 300 mile area I cover.

" get the right support " should have happened when I called the first time, I explained that I was giving my old Galaxy Note 8 phone to a neighbor that had a Verizon phone already but his SIM was a Galaxy S4 Micro(3FF) SIM so I couldn't use it in the Note 8 4FF/Nano SIM, I needed to go online and setup his account then switch phones, it seems he has never used a computer or setup his voice mail since he purchased the Galaxy S4. The neighbor refuses to 'visit' the Verizon store, something about his treatment when he picked up the Galaxy S4 in 2013, he is 82.
