Backup Assistant

I've read a couple of the post on here about backup assistant and some said it was down and not functioning right. My main issue is since I've had my phone, about three weeks, my contacts have never appeared on the backup assistant website. But when I look at my phone it says it has successfully updated. My question is are they on the backup assistant server and just not showing? Or could is my phone not actually transmitting? Should I just turn the feature off on my phone?

You can try to reset the application by following the steps below;however, there is currently a known issue with back up assistant. The contact list is not syncing between devices and the back up assistant account online. I apologize for the inconvenience. Our technicians are aware of the issue and are working diligently to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience as we work towards a resolution.

Reset back up assistant application:

From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located in the lower-left).
Touch Settings.
Touch Applications.
Touch Manage applications.
Touch the appropriate application ( Back up assistant)
Touch Force stop
Touch Clear data.
Touch OK.

This problem continues, and is still there on Nov. 20.

I have been trying for several days to sync my BlackBerry with the Backup assistant, to no avail. First, it takes forever to have access it (the VRZ site is extremely slow, including for loging in), then, when at long last I can open the Backup Assistant and can initiate a contact sync, it churns and churns forever and my contacts are never synced between the phone and VRZ - BA Assistant.

I called yesterday VRZ Support; they said they are aware of the problem, asked me not to try again before today Sat. 20th...which I did but it is still not working...this is not a good, even average level of service, when a problem which has existed for over a week is still uncorrected by the service provider, i.e. VRZ.

I've been back & forth with VW customer service regarding this service. Backup Assistant has been down in my area since the end of October. This is the second extended outage over the past 45 days. It does not appear that VW will be bringing that service back up, at least in my area based on the last conversation I had with customer service. There may be a credit or other concession to get us to move to whatever may replace it (assuming there is a new service available) but, for now it continues to be down and unavailable. I've removed it from my handset and am pretty peeved about it.
