Pixel 4xl cannot read battery meter

Last Saturday my phone started saying "cannot read battery meter" and the battery meter shows a question mark in the middle of it. After changing, the battery drains completely in a couple of minutes. The only way to use the phone is while it is plugged in.

We know your phone is important to you. I would be concerned with this issue as well. How old is your phone? Do you know if you have an extended warranty or insurance on the device. Is there damage to the device?
