iMessage/Facetime phone number won't verify.
I also can't reply to 5-digit text numbers and some 10-digit phone numbers.
Apple support referred me to Verizon.
We know how important it is to stay connected. When did this first start happening? Have you made any recent changes to your device or services?

Have you tried toggling iMessage and Facetime off, and then restarting your device. As soon as you turn it back on, connect to Wi-Fi, and turn iMessage/Facetime back on and wait. It should register then.
This happens to me sometimes, so just try that and it should work!
