iPhone SE 2020 issue with Jitterbugs

My aunt just bought a Lively Jitterbug phone. When her daughter calls her using her iPhone SE 2020, she can't hear her mother. But if her mother initiates the call, it works. Any ideas what the problem is? Jitterbug support says the carrier should have a device setting correction for this.

Kwongster, it is certainly not good for your aunt not to be able to hear her daughter when her daughter calls her. We will be delighted to assist you. Does your aunt hear other callers when they call her or does the issue only happen when her daughter calls her? JacobG_VZW

My aunt is 100 so this phone was supposed to make it easier for her. My cousin is currently hospitalized but will test it this weekend with other phones when she is released… thank you for your reply. Will report back after testing.
