I just bought a new phone from Apple and am a current Verizon customer looking to replace my old phone and transfer my old phone number to my new phone. I am not planning to change my plan as a result of the phone purchase so was wondering the steps to transfer my phone # to the new phone and if there are additional costs in doing so,

Did you purchase the new phone from Apple as a SIM free or unlocked purchase? Or did you purchase it with service from a carrier without providing your current phone number?

Are you a postpaid customer or a prepaid customer with Verizon Wireless?
