To everyone on the Verizon community, do not fall for the "iPhone 13 on us" campaign. It is a false adversiting! When I go on my accounts page and list my devices, there is a button for upgrade. When I select my device and go into upgrade, there is an option for the iPhone 13 which says "get it free with trade". However, when I select this option, when you look in the cart carefully, I am only getting 50% off ($400) and I still have to pay $400. When I ask the chat assistant, I am told that the deal doesn't take into account what phone I'm trading in. Since my phone is older, I only get $400 in the trade in. This is clearly false advertising as I am clicking on my iPhone 8 for upgrade and it gives me the deal. If you don't look carefully in your cart, you would think that you are getting the iPhone 13 for free. Nowhere does it say that the phone I selected is too old for a full free trade-in upgrade. Very disappointed in Verizon. I am a long time customer with many devices, so switching to another carrier would get me a better deal. Look carefully, do not trust that selecting your phone automatically gives you the deal that they advertise.
