Stop TravelPass Charges while using local eSIM in Europe

My wife is in Europe for a month with her iPhone 12 with the original Verizon SIM card inserted. She has activated a local eSIM from Orange but keeps getting daily charges for TravelPass. Is there any way to stop the daily TravelPass charges while allowing use of the local eSIM? Would temporarily suspending her Verizon line work?
