How can I block calls from specific area codes and 800 877 etc. can you use wild cards when you input the number on the call block list?
The options we have available to block number are Call and Messaging Block and Usage Controls. Call and Messaging Block would be located under My Services>Spam Controls>Call and Messaging Block. This feature would allow you to block up to 10 specific numbers for each or all lines on your account. Usage Controls offer features such as Voice Allowances, Message Allowances, Time of Day Restrictions, Block Numbers, and Trusted Numbers. With Block Numbers, you can block communications with up to 20 phones numbers, including 411 and private/restricted numbers. You can find additional information on Usage Controls via the following link:

You can only block specific numbers... not a group.
I concur with another Verizon customer who responded to a similar thread. The verizon service technician added usage controls to my account. However, this does not allow me to block blocked numbers.
Usage controls simply allow the account owner to restrict or limit services assigned to a cell phone. It can restrict numbers that the assigned user can dial, and numbers that the person can receive. There did not appear to be any way to block all blocked numbers. I found a free call block feature that enabled me to block specific numbers for a short period of time (45 days?) however.
I simply added in 000-000-0000 and 100-000-0000, since I keep getting calls from 1-000-000-0000. I hope this works.
We're getting persistent calls from some scammer on a daily basis. As soon as we block a number the spambot dials from a different number, even a different area code. How do we stop this cr@p?
Get a new phone number (it's free if you're being harassed or spammed) and arrange to have your caller ID automatically blocked on all outgoing calls (your don't want to have to dial *67 before every call).
One problem - the directions how how to turn on permanent outgoing caller ID block no longer matches what is available on the web site, making this a hidden (perhaps no longer available?) feature.
Does anyone know where this feature was moved to?
