Some highlights about the protocol, Quality of service which can improve your gaming experience for sure. There are a lot of features of upnp, I would glance at that page.

I am not talking about having at least two game consoles (example PS3) behind this router.--Anyways..Verizon provided routers have a small routing table. See as need behttp://www.verizonfioswiki.com/index.php/Using_Your_Own_Routerwhat to do about it.Good luck.
After reading through that, I'm actually bewildered at the fact that Verizon came in here and managed to FUBAR my entire network with that Actiontec router, and not only that, the way it's set up for my TV I can't even plug my own router in myself; now I have to call them up and have myself switched over to CAT instead of now-inconvenient coax?
Come on. News flash: It would have been really great to know during installation that the router you were going to provide me with was sub-par and was going to be dropping incomnig connections left and right. Now I see why it was free on installation.
