how to connect my new laptop hp pavilion (wireless feature) with fios.

how in the world is this done. I have my desktop connected and was told when I got my laptop I would be prompted and I would have to put in the numbers in back of the verizon fios router (Actiontec). No where when I turned on the new pc was there any prompts or how to do this. Can anyone walk me thru this?

you can open Control Panel and then Network and should be able to go from there to have your HP find the router and connect. I have the same brand laptop and it was very easy.
