sending emails to multiple people

why can't i send emails to more than 1 person at a time? i tried holding down the control key and clicking on the email addresses in my contact list and it will only send 1.it may be the first contact or it may be the last but never more than 1

It will help to know what e-mail client you are talking about...

I use both aol and verizon

Are you using Outlook Express, Outlook, Thunderbird, Browser Based E-mail, AOL e-mail client?
