Internet not working

For the 3rd time in 7 days, my internet is not working. called verizon and they offer no solution. It randomly came back after a day off the last two times. Anyone have any insight?

#1 Do you have the Verizon branded Actiontec router?
#2 Are you (or anyone else) that is behind this router portforwarding?
By portforwarding this means, trying to allow users from the net to connect to them.
Part of the reason why I ask.. The Verizon branded Actiontec router has a small routing table.
