Does fios support USB connection to the internet?
mjustice52
I need a router that supports USB or an adapter for ethernet to USB for fios. I had the same problem when I was with another company using DSL (i.e. the ethernet connection did not work so they sent me a USB cable). Don't any of Verizon routers have a USB port?

If you have your old router you can hook that up to the fios router. But make sure you do not have DHCP running on both routers.

You were connecting to the dsl/cable modem with a usb cable...routers don't support a usb connection...your computer shouldn't have a problem using a ethernet cable. Either way the FiOS installer will make sure you can connect to the internet before he leaves.

Thanks. I decided to simply install a wireless card (Sabrent PCI-G802). Should arrive this week from TigerDirect.com. Hope this does the trick...M

You will do just fine with the wireless adapter. Happy surfing!
