Devices not showing up on network

I came across an unrelated post involving port forwarding and thought it might solver my problem, but no luck. I've got a dozen or so devices that I need connected to the network, and it would be nice if they showed up in the "My Network" space. I've tried manually adding the devices under IP distribution, but when I do, I get an error msg:

IP Address: IP address already exists in Wireless Broadband Router's database.

MAC Address: MAC Address already exists in Wireless Broadband Router's database.

Rule Name: Rule Name already exists in Wireless Broadband Router's database.

I'm guessing I can take care of it by cleaning out the router's database, but I have no idea how. Help! 🙂

Sounds like you have put in the same device multiple times. And the best way to setup a wireless network, configure the wireless network on the device, and not the router. And this has nothing to do with port forwarding. Port forwarding is when you have a device on the network that you want to access from outside of you network. Say you have a ftp/file server at home and you want to access it from work. You would setup the port forwarding, you would connect to your outside IP address, then on the router you would tell it, anything coming into port 21 to go to PC 192.168.1.xxx (you ftp server IP address)

Whoops - Sorry about that. The fact that it was about port forwarding was unrelated (I saw what I had hoped would be an answer to my question in a post that had to do with port forwarding. Was just a coincidence that I should have left out.) The devices are all set up separately. I was hoping to use the My Network tab as a quick way to see which were up and which weren't. But I'm guessing the My Network tab just lists devices the router already knows about, vice their current status.

Where you able to setup the network on the devices themselves?

Yupper. Good there. Just thought maybe the My Network tab would be useful for seeing network status on the boxes. If that's not the case, then I guess there's no real need to have the browser-based admin page tell me about them.
