Need Help With Port Forward

I really need help forwarding my ports, I have the new Westell 9100EM router. I need to forward the port 27015. I have watched this video(http://www.screencast.com/users/vztester/folders/Jing/media/7a8b2077-b807-457c-9f97-18d3c8f4ce38) but I still cant get it to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is how it looks:

Add Port Forwarding Rule

[ ] Specify Public IP Address

Local Host:

[ ] Specify Network IP Address

Protocols: [drop down box]

Forward to Port: ______________

------------------------------

Local Host Local Address Network Address Public IP Address Protocols Status

what port are you trying to use?

First thing, I think it may be against the TOS to run a public server without a business account. So I will assume you have one.

Do you have the server set as a TCP, or UDP? Do you have a range from 27015 and 27016. Do you have it pointed to a specific internal IP. Have you tired to add that server the a DMZ (I would only do this if its a dedicated server not used for anything else)?

#1 Check what software firewall is on your computer.

#2 Check to be sure that the server is running. When ever the server is not running, no one can connect to you.

#3 Make sure you check the ports from the outside.

This means, at any of the following sites:

grc.com shields up

http://www.dyndns.com/support/tools/openport.html

http://www.whatsmyip.org/ports/

http://www.canyouseeme.org/

#4 Make sure to give to the other users who are not behind the same router as you are, your public IP (or your domain name).
